Succession : Pass on the baton. Week 21

Every good "leader parent" goes out there, learns useful habits and things about improving on the family and brings these values home to his team with the aim of making the home better.

Passing on the baton is a very vital aspect of leadership. It's not just enough to run the race, but to run understanding from the beginning that leadership is principally a relay race. Leaders don't just pass the baton to everyone following them, if not, even Jesus would have had a crowd of disciples.  Jesus had just 12. He understood that a successful and fulfilled leader is one who looks back and sees his people running with the vision with the same understanding and zeal or better. That is why, succession requires talking to God first, then training the chosen.
